Sustainable Eating Ethos
Our food is freshly sourced and grown locally wherever possible with an emphasis on championing the great produce and artisan foods from our wee country. For example we run a beef club in our restaurant that strives to provide a unique dining experience for our customers.
We support sustainable farming techniques and have ethically reared grass fed beef all year round for our customers we also source the best beef from the top sales in Ulster. We've a long running relationship with the Royal Ulster Beef and Lamb Championship (formerly Allams) and ensure to purchase top class animals from the sale on a yearly basis.
We do our best to provide our customers with the best quality food produce with a huge emphasis on Ulster beef. We take pride in having the best steaks in Belfast having raised a lot of the beef on our family farm or supplied by top class local farms. We have all cuts available on the menu daily from flank, rump, ribeye, sirloin, fillet, T-bone & Tomahawk. With the previous 3 generations of McAlister's involved with beef and farming we know what we are talking about when it comes to meat.
On top of this we grow our own herbs and veggies in our 'Morning Star Kitchen Garden' in Belfast to ensure we have a daily supply of pesticide free seasonal produce.
Our ethos is farm to fork, however we work in food meters not miles!
