An emphasis on local food done properly is what we are about, from sourcing the finest Ulster beef to our craft distillers.
Since 1992, when the very first edition of the book appeared, John and Sally McKenna’s The 100 Best Restaurants in Ireland has celebrated, championed, and offered critical analysis of, the very best restaurants throughout Ireland, north and south. The McKenna’s 100 Best Restaurants is iconoclastic – it includes food carts, beachside shacks, and tiny rooms, as well as grand theatres for eating – and the list has consistently interpreted and defined what modern, creative Irish cooking is, who the finest, most creative chefs are, and what they can achieve.
The Team Effort
After a number of very difficult years for the hospitality industry we are especially proud of our team of dedicated and hardworking team.
My desire to travel reached new heights after reading the McKenna Guides Top 100 Ireland 2023. My enthusiasm for exploration was rekindled by the combination of well-known locations and undiscovered treasures. Similarly, the Law Dissertation Ideas service was my lifesaver when I was struggling to come up with a topic for my postgraduate thesis. Their knowledgeable advice gave me confidence and focus, and now I feel like my academic and travel goals are back on track.
