With the festive season nearly over we have been working hard to bring you something new!
Restaurant Refurb incoming January 2024!
We’ve kept it under wraps for as long as possible and long enough for you all to enjoy the festive period in The Morning Star you know and love, but things are about to get a change and coming is an EXCITING NEW LOOK RESTAURANT!. We have been working closely with the team at O Donnell O Neill Design who are a dynamic and creative Interior Architecture and Design Studio who specialise in experiential and atmospheric Interior Design Solutions for the Hospitality Industry.
The team to carry out the work are CM Fit-Out, a construction & joinery fit-out specialist team based in Larne. They bring together a collective experience of over 20 decades within the industry, with a team of skilled specialists who will begin the work in January 2023.
Our plan is to preserve and showcase the most iconic parts of our Victorian award-winning restaurant with a mix of leather booths and wooden tables, dark wooden panelling and reclaimed wooden features. “This place has been our home for over 30 years and we are proud to breathe new life into our historic building and give it a new purpose.”
From a long-standing farming and food-obsessed family, the McAlister’s have owned and run The Morning Star for over 30 years. Now brother & sister at the reins, for James and Peita the focus is still the same. Keep it simple with the best quality local offerings, specialising in grass-fed beef & lamb, sustainable seafood and Irish Whiskey. We believe that supporting sustainable farming, buying from independent farmers, and animal welfare is not just the right thing to do it is the secret to great tasting food!
We are into the last two weeks of the restaurant as people know it so we think you should get down and see it one last time!
